A crystal-clear structure and complex journey of a tea. There is a robustness here that allows for daily-drinking. This tea is sourced from cloud hidden trees within the jungles of Yunnan, and is later charcoal-roasted in Wuyi for added development. An ecologically and economically sound choice.

Big-leaf Puerh tea orginates from Yunnan Province in China's southwest, the region from which the tea species first evolved and crossed over into human use. The source tea trees from which this tea is plucked are embedded within a thriving and pristine, untended ecology. This tea instead of being aged is processed into a red tea style, called dianhong.
Grounding and complex, this tea has moderately high caffeine level and is both energizing, soothing, and focusing. It supports activity, study, and meditation.
A clay teapot or gaiwan (lidded cup) is the recommended brewing vessel. Use 5-7 grams of loose tea per session. Expect to steep this Red Tea 4-8 times with 200 °F water. Recommended steeping time is 15-45 seconds. Try this tea on the lighter side to get a feel for its character, then push it with a longer steep to sense its core!
